News: Will Smith In a Throuple; Daughter Willow Is Bisexual

It seems like when it comes to relationships that don’t necessarily follow society’s heteronormative norms, the Smith family are all over it.

In November of last year, Will Smith’s son Jaden declared that he was in a relationship with Tyler the creator, saying “I wanna tell you, Tyler doesn’t want to say, but Tyler’s my mother-fucking boyfriend and he’s been my mother-fucking boyfriend my whole fucking life!”

Now, on the Facebook web series Red Table Talk, his sister Willow has come out as bisexual. On top of that, Jada Pinkett Smith also revealed that she and Will are in a throuple with another woman.

The revelations came about because of the episode’s theme, which was “Unconventional Relationships: Can Multiple Partners Work?” During the course of the discussion, Willow came out to her mother Jade and her grandmother Adrienne, saying she definitely wants “one man, one woman.”

“I love men and women equally, and so I would definitely want one man, one woman. I feel like I could be polyfidelitous with those two people. I’m not the kind of person that is constantly looking for new sexual experiences,” she explains. “I focus a lot on the emotional connection and I feel like if I were to find two people of different genders that I really connected with and we had a romantic and sexual connection, I don’t feel like I would feel the need to try to go find more.”

Jada did admit that her stomach “jumped a bit” at the revelation, but did reaffirm her support for Willow, saying: “Listen, you know me Willow: whatever makes you happy.”

Jada then revealed her own unconventional arrangement with her husband — that they were in a non-sexual throuple with Sheree Zampino, Will’s ex-wife.

Watch the entirety of this conversation below:

Unconventional Relationships: Can Multiple Partners Work?

Jada, Gammy and Willow explore alternatives to conventional marriage as they meet a “throuple” – 2 women and a man in a three-way romantic relationship. Plus, Jada and Willow embarrass Gammy by revealing their thoughts about multiple partner scenarios.

What someone will do once their careers are long-over and must resort to sensationalism about something innate.

To espouse sexuality, publicly, is a sign of desperation and ever-increasing invisibility…as is the case of “Will Smith.”

It is true: there are those who do not understand that it is wiser to let sleeping dogs lie and to separate” private lives from public faces”!

When will this weird family just go away. I recall reading an interview where Jaden talked about being a normal child just going shopping at cartier after school like… all kids do….

it literally runs in the family. Will’s been gay, but in closet, since forever, so of course it had no choice but to trickle down to the children. And let’s not forget the secret, very VERY undercover relationship Will’s been having with Duane Martin…they going out of the country on trips together alone, probably why Tisha Campbell finally divorced him.

I think celebrities sometimes serve a purpose beyond entertainment. Sometimes they expose or create a space of normalcy where it didn’t exist. What these people talked about isn’t that unusual. In many cultures beyond the limitations of the western world have polyamorous relationships. It isn’t for everyone but it is for others. If this is the lifestyle for them, good for them. There was a time where it was scandalous to be divorced and people would get annulments to make it look less scandalous. That changed when celebrities were getting divorce and people cared less. Now someone gets divorced and it isn’t looked upon with as much vile. There was a time when pregnancy without marriage was one of the worst things a woman could do. They were sent away to come back with a little “brother or sister”, her parents would raise. Celebrities would just claim to be a single mother “adopting” a baby. Then people like Mia Farrow had a child without pregnancy and didn’t apologize for it. Other celebrities followed suit. Now a person’s choice to start a family without marriage isn’t frowned upon as much. The point is that the Smith family is entertaining while exploring what people may or may not be really doing with their lives. I don’t care what they do as long as it isn’t harmful to others or themselves, but they are telling us about another aspect of someone else’s normal life. For that, I say good for them. For others that don’t like it, don’t watch because you know what they are about.
