Netflix’s uber-popular LGBTQ teen romance series Heartstopper is back for its second season, guys, and they just recently dropped the first trailer!
Heartstopper is an LGBTQ+ coming-of-age drama set at an all-boys British grammar school. It follows the budding romance of Charlie Spring (played by out actor Joe Locke) and Kit Connor (who plays the role of Nick) as they both navigate their high school life along with their friends.
If you haven’t watched it yet, you might want to check it out especially if you’re a fan of Hulu’s Love, Victor or Netflix’s Young Royals.
Here is the series’ official blurb straight from Netflix:
Nick and Charlie navigate their new relationship, Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges and Tao and Elle work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love, and friendship.
Heartstopper is based on Alice Oseman’s bestselling graphic novel of the same name. Oseman serves as the show’s creator and scriptwriter as well while Euros Lyn serves as its director. The latter is well-known for her popular British shows, the likes of Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Black Mirror.
Heartstopper also stars Yasmin Finney as Elle Argent, William Gao as Tao Xu, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft (Ben Hope), Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser, Cormac Hyde-Corrin (Harry Greene), and Oscar-winner Olivia Colman who plays the role of Sarah Nelson.
Heartstopper Season 2 will premiere on Netflix this August 3, 2023.
Happy viewing!
I’ll have to restock my scented “Kleenex Tissues”!
These potential “Tear-Jerkers” always cause my tear ducts to work overtime and tears fall by the
thousands.
Which isn’t a bad thing as tears do wash and lubricate the eyes. And, I do have a pair of beautiful,
blue eyes! However, should too many tears
flow, then, I will have to send out the Oriental Rug underneath my “Chesterfield Smoking Chair” to
the specialty rug-cleaners for cleansing and preservation! It is an expensive endeavor!
A4A is free; maintaining and preservating my Oriental Rug is not!
Plus, with the “Oriental Rug” out to the cleaners, my living room decor is temporarily disturbed and
that adds to my additional anxieties which require expensive pharmaceuticals and adds
unnecessarily expenses to the household’s budget.
It was reported by NBC last November that the Kit Connor was forced to make his sexuality public “… after he was accused of queerbaiting by viewers… ”
He said, “Back for a minute. I’m bi. Congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. I think some of you missed the point of the show. Bye.”
It is the price one pays for being within “The Public Domain” as a celebrity. It is part and parcel of
being “Out There”…
for all eyes to see and for all ears to hear. If you are out, you will eventually be
outed. Many do not
understand the realities of Celebratedness and suffer, unduly, for their
ignorance!
May get “Eaten Alive” and nothing quite remains – except – a few scrapes or
crumbs?
