Hey, guys! Our hottie of the day is Luke Macfarlane (Single All The Way, Rock Paper Dead). I recently watched Bros by Universal Pictures where he played the role of Aaron, Bobby Lieber’s (played by Billy Eichner, The Lion King, Noelle) love interest, and I couldn’t help but notice how hot he is.
If you don’t know who he is, Luke Macfarlane is a Canadian-American actor and musician known for playing the role of Scotty Wandell on Brothers & Sisters (2006–2011), as well as RAC Agent D’avin Jaqobis on the Space television science fiction series Killjoys (2015–2019). I have yet to watch both but I did watch him on Single All The Way and Supergirl.
Macfarlane revealed in his interview with Vanity Fair that as an actor, he initially wanted to do action movies like such as G.I. Joe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe or play a superhero character like in The CW’s Smallville.
Unfortunately, he was unable to secure such roles. “I can literally remember an agent once saying to me, ‘Superman can’t be gay’—like just straight out.”
Further, he recalled, “I do remember being frustrated, seeing other actors and straight guys my age—and I never want to make it about that, but—thinking, Why are they getting [the parts]? Why am I not getting them?” He added, “The post–Brothers & Sisters moment was scary, for sure. I was like, ‘Dude, I’m the perfect age for this stuff.’ And it wasn’t clicking, for whatever reason.” Read the interview in full here.
The 42-year-old heartthrob reportedly came out as gay on 15 April 2008 during an interview with The Globe and Mail. Over the years, he was linked to fellow actors like Charlie David, Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight, actor and scriptwriter Wentworth Miller, as well as Chad Slivenski – a semi-retired American professional wrestler cum actor.

Uh, Adam… you JUST noticed that Luke Macfarlane is a hottie? He’s been at this for a while, and kinda grabs your attention whenever he’s on screen. I’ve been crushing on him for years!
“Bros” was OK (Eichner’s character is so annoying that he almost makes the movie unwatchable), and Luke was a huge highlight of it. Check him out in “Killjoys” sometime. (I’d pay serious money for some “intimate” videos of Luke & Charlie David from their time as a couple!)

When the movie came up short at the box office at its premiere, Eichner whined/complained that “Straight people just didn’t show for it.”
Why should they have? What did he think they owed him? What was he “entitled to”? He’s Gay, made a Gay-themed movie, and thinks Society automatically owes him ” Blockbuster” status?
He’s a poster child of what slows acceptance.
He made a statement of fact. They didn’t show. That isn’t necessarily a whine or an indication that he’s entitled.

this is just totally fucked, he could be ANY superhero he wanted .. if they don’t want him to be Superman, then he could always be Hawkman, Green Lantern, Aquaman or some other superhero, honey
i’ve also said this in other social media places, but if they ever cum out with a Brokeback Mountain 2, he could be a suitable and possible replacement for Heath Ledger and get with Jake Gyllenhaal as his new love interest in that movie .. big shoes to fill, obviously, but still he would be perfect!
Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, Jack Twist, died in Brokeback Mountain.

As hot as Macfarlane is, I don’t think he’d be believable in a prequel. I don’t know how old the characters are in the movie, in the short story they’re 18, if I remember correctly.

yes, i don’t like it when they say “he JUST became a leading man”, when he’s been a “leading man” in these Hallmark movies all this time!
Hallmark lagged far behind others in the media in acknowledging gay characters. Forget? Doubtful.
It might have also been that Hallmark didn’t want to be Politically Correct and get mired down with the junk?

Hallmark has made, what, one movie with out gay characters? Even then, those characters were in a story line secondary to a hetero couple. That is hardly pandering to “political correctness.” Of course, I doubt that they would have done even that one movie if they weren’t struggling with damage control over their earlier unhinged response a threatened “One Million Moms” boycott.
Over decade ago, Luke played a gay partner on Brothers and Sisters. Both characters were not stereotypical gays. Since then, the Resident as well as New Amsterdam have similar characters. These shows go a long way in fostering gay acceptance by depicting strong guys who are not loud, disruptive, emotional cripples. I’ve heard Straight repeatedly say “I don’t care about a gay guy’s sexuality. I just can’t stand him being such an annoying ass.” We should all thank Hollywood for getting with reality.
