Hey, guys! As we have discussed these past few days with you here on the A4A blog, we will be dedicating our posts to our Black LGBTQ community and allies by celebrating and highlighting the lives of important black LGBTQ people and allies in our community. If you don’t read the blog every day and you have no idea what we’re talking about, you can check here.
In addition to this initiative for the Black Lives Matter Movement, we are raising money today for the African-American LGBTQ Community. This means that 100% of the sales today from the VIP and PRO memberships on A4A will be donated to National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) an organization headquartered in Washington, DC.
But what is NBJC and why choose NBJC?
Adam4Adam decided to choose to donate to this organization because it offers help to the Black LGBTQ community. The National Black Justice Coalition is a “civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and same gender loving (LGBTQ/SGL) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS.” Armed with the mission of “ending racism, homophobia, and LGBTQ/SGL bias and stigma,” NBJC has been helping the African-American LGBTQ/SGL community since 2003.
Anyway, upgrading to the VIP or PRO membership today means that you get to access nice extra features and also support a great cause. Adam4Adam also commits to donate the same amount, so if you guys subscribe for the equivalent of $5,000, we will also give $5,000! Click here to upgrade to VIP and here to upgrade to PRO.
Of course, you also have the option to donate $20-50-100 or $250 using our donation page on the website or mobile website. and just like for the membership sales, the entire amount donated will go to NBJC and A4A will also donate the same amount. Click here to donate.
The campaign is today all day, June 3, 2020 until 11:59pm, so let’s go, let’s show to the world that the Adam4Adam community is strong and tight! In French we say, that we are “tissé serré”, we are “tightly woven”.
Thank you in advance, guys. We will announce in the succeeding days the total amount we raised together for the National Black Justice Coalition. Happy Giving Wednesday and remember, we are stronger together!
This is a step in the right direction, however, the gay community has a lot to answer for in the treatment of LGBT minorities as well. Lets keep it real.
Yes but now, the house that’s on fire is the Black house. So let’s work on that fire!
We have seen a lot of discrimination in the LGTBQ community. Those of you who practice this discrimination need to come clean
Last year in a country of 300+ million people in the USA, a total of TEN unarmed blacks were killed by police, some of which were combative and in the ones that weren’t, the cops were prosecuted. In total, more whites were killed by cops than blacks, even though blacks were more likely to be ARMED. But yeah. The Black house is “On fire” because the media wants it that way. Sure Dave. Ok then.
OMG, read books man!
There even 12 documentaries on black racism on Netflix, maybe that’s more your type of media.
Check it out!
Look for example at the stats on the prop 8 that all the gays were up in arms about with christians and its support from the black community. Even though the population votes overwhelmingly democrat (note not liberal), there are many issues in play.
I’m not talking about politics right now, I’m talking about Black People. I couldn’t careless about Biden and Trump, I live in Canada. But what is happening with the police right now is wrong and this has to change.
If you don’t watch your step, YOUR house is gona be on fire, Dave!! Beware, be VERY aware. and yes, it is possible to findout ur identity.
just donate. no more pointing fingers
thank you in the name of our Black LGBTQ folks!
Exactly! There is so much racism, anti-black bias, and black apathy that is tale-telling how so many show their negative responses to this effort. If more non-black LGBTQ individuals would open their eyes and see that is these apathetic reasons are the main reasons for why there are black pride celebrations for black LGBTQs.
Hey buddy, you want to do something to help racism? Moderate these fucking comments. I’ve seen commenters on here throw around the N-word like an internet gaming chatroom. Stop talking about how racism is bad, and actually DO SOMETHING about it!
Hey we have 11 million users win A4A, we dont look at conversations unless you report them!
Click the “report this person” button and they’ll be out in a NYC seconds.
Sorry you burned, rioted, and looted your own black neighborhoods, businesses, all in the name of black lives matter and now you expect someone else to help pay for you to rebuild? You are not getting even a penny from myself or my husband.
Good, because you know what? We don’t need help from people like you.
I THINK A4A should be ashamed , even tho we are of different origins we are one community so there should not be a Black LBGTQ fund raiser you are doing what they want everyone to do separating them from the pack, making them more important than the rest of us that face racisms, discrimination in our ever day lives, Gregory wasn’t Gay was he I don’t think so. so why not give to ALL OF US, CAUSE ALL LIVES MATTER. BLACK PEOPLE ARENT THE only ones affected by this, remember that.
Bobby, are you serious man? The “black house” is on fire right now, not your house. So Adam4Adam wants to help the black house right now. If you can’t understand that, I’m sorry for you!
ok so I would also like to add, we always want support from straight people, but we can’t support other people oppressed and discriminated and killed?!
no what not fair is lgbtq using African American struggle to argue their sexual orientation(that is NOT RACISM) fight…..STOP USING AFRICAN AMERICAN STRUGGLE FOR YOUR SEXAUAL ORIENTATION EDWARD BUCK!
there is total RACISM in lgbqt against African Americans. ok Edward Buck
