If you’ve been seeing more of Jamie Foxx online as of late, it’s because of his new Netflix film called Day Shift.

In Day Shift, Jamie Foxx plays the role of Bud Jablonski, a pool boy by day and a vampire hunter by night. The movie is currently number one in 79 countries so if you haven’t seen it yet, you totally should (I already did, I thought it was funny and worth my while), especially if you’re into vampire movies and if you love Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, and Dave Franco (who plays the role of Seth).

Anyway, I thought Jamie Foxx was hot and funny and such a badass in the movie, and reading the reactions of the Twitterverse, I’m clearly not alone in thinking this. Plus, he totally reminds me of my professor in Finance, Professor Williams (sans the facial hair), whom I was crushing on at college, so there.

Jamie Foxx is an award-winning actor who won numerous awards for his film Ray, including an Oscar for Best Actor. He has a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Grammy Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award and he is also a singer (yes, he sings).

In 2020, Jamie Foxx and his family create the DeOndra Dixon Fund in honor of his late sister, DeOndra Dixon, who passed away at the age of 36. Ms. Dixon was a Special Olympics athlete and an ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. Read more about this story here.

Reportedly, Jamie Foxx supports a number of foundations such as the Cancer Research Institute, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Make Poverty History, and City of Hope among many others. Check this link for the complete list.

Apart from Day Shift, my favorite Jamie Foxx movies are Collateral (2004), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), Ray (2004), and Annie (2014) to name a few.
