The summer months are in full swing and as the temperature rises, you’ll probably find more and more guys walking the streets without a shirt on. Either that or you’ll be headed to the beach to cool off and find yourself heating up instead, because of all the shirtless hunks around you.

Surrounded by all of this eye candy, you can’t be blamed if you engage in a hot and heavy summer fling. But before you go out there and play, make sure that you’re good to go by getting tested.

One of the easiest and most convenient ways to get tested is by going to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Get Tested website. All you need to do once you get to the site is enter either the zip code or the city or state that you’re in. The site will then provide you with the locations of the testing centers nearest to you.

The site even helps you out if you’re unsure about what test you’re going to need. All you need to do is answer a few questions such as your gender, your current sexual situation, and your age. They’ll even come up with recommendations of how often you should get tested!

For instance, you should get tested for HIV every three to six months, while you should get tested for sexually-transmitted infections such as Syphilis, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea at least annually.

Once you get tested and get the all clear, you should ensure that it stays that way. The CDC also has your back when it comes to this, as they also provide a tool that helps you find the nearest place to get condoms. All you need to do is simply put in your zip code and how many miles you’re willing to travel for one.

So what are you waiting for, go out, get tested, and have lots of summer fun!
