Yesterday’s wounds become tomorrow’s weapons. Learn, for the hunt continues.
League of Legends gaymers and fans, you’ll be pleased to know that the League has a new champion, K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah. Moreover, Riot Games revealed that their latest champion is the franchise’s first queer black warrior.
K’Sante debuted in a new teaser trailer titled “The Hunter’s Pride.” You can watch the character reveal yourself below:
Voice actor DeObia Oparei revealed that K’Sante is the first black LGBTQ champion to join Summoner’s Rift. He tweeted, “I’m excited to give life and voice to K’Sante and make history portraying the first LGBTQ black Champion Warrior.”
A second animated trailer “Defeat Your Monster” tells viewers a bit more about K’Sante. The video shows him fighting a monster, alone at first, and then with someone else named the Archer who, apparently, is his former lover. A voice-over can be heard narrating:
This is the tale of a Young Hunter… and his greatest battle. Together, the Hunter and his love, the Archer, defended their homes from the monsters that threatened it. With his ntofos in hand, and his love by his side, the Hunter felt invincible. But there were times – many times… when the Archer urged the Hunter to temper his skill with strategy.
Unfortunately, the Young Hunter couldn’t see that there is no monster greater than pride. And so, the Archer moved on to other adventures, but he left behind one final gift. The Hunter could finally see his monster: Arrogance. The Archer… had been right.
His pride had torn them apart, but they finished the hunt together. And that is how the Young Hunter defeated his greatest monster.
According to Polygon, it is not known when K’Sante “might be released onto live servers, but it seems safe to assume he’s at least a couple of weeks away, based on Riot’s usual schedule.”

Not a fan of “league of nation” adventure heroes but always happy to see glass ceilings break. Nice- looking, sexy guy with a very nice physique. Congrats bruh!!!!
I don’t mind gay characters on tv shows, movies, video games etc. As long it’s not to fill in those “progressive” quotas. Sadly in many cases it is…
And in this case, it is.
The character is perfunctory and is there simply to placate the liberals who tout equal representation.
So it’s supposed to be the usual all white hetero characters… And if ANY other type of character is made it’s simply to fill quotas or equality or representation or black lives matters or woke … Smh… Or maybe they just decided to make a gay black character… Did that EVER don on you? And even if they did do it for equality …is that a bad thing? We do need more representation in this world …all people who lack that… But when we get it …here come the haters finding ANY way to make it a bad thing…
I read the blog and I reacted…accordingly.
It isn’t about me or my own personal take on the “All Must Be Represented” routine.
We just like to see ourselves on the silver screen, too, in different characterizations, other than the slave/domestic narratives that were once customary . . . what’s wrong with that, nothing, like a bucket list.
Maybe someday we’ll get to point where characters are added without a big splash woke quota announcement concerning their gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, etc. We’ll learn about those factors over time (months or years) as the character develops first as a Super Hero or Super Villain.
If, he was Latino; you’re right though, it is indeed sad. Again, it just shows where white America, mostly, certain groups are ‘still’ in this day and age, any ceiling ‘we’ break is still news.
Wow, it’s a lot like gay athletes coming out, still news, sad. I just wonder, if humanity will get past all of this bullshit, before it’s too late.
There are a number of labels/names netizens have been citing for years for anyone who is emotionally or sexually attracted to or is infatuated with an animated character. To date, while on various radars, none have been labeled by a medical community as an affliction or addiction. What’s important, it is said by them, is that when the attraction takes time away from, or comes in conflict with, everyday reality, professional help should be sought.
I never expected to see a League of Legends reference on this site. It’s like my two worlds colliding . Where can we drop our Summoner Names at ?
This reminds me of my childhood, some of the superhero characters were hot, period in cartoons, now, to see one of color, finally, in this late day and age, another breakthrough.
But, as long as it’s an “adult themed cartoon/graphic storyline” and not for kids? I just think there’s a line, perhaps. I don’t play/know anything about these types of games so I’m just wondering, but seems harmless, like black dolls or action figures, otherwise.
First time viewer, and I like to see more diversity and all media. Makes it more like real life.
