Hey, guys! It has come to our attention that there’s a group of spammers creating fake member accounts on Adam4Adam and are targeting our married users. Please remember that these scammers will ask for your number, they will then do a quick background check on your phone number. Once they obtained your personal information including your address and your family name, they will demand for money and threaten to expose you.
You need to watch out for the “angry father” routine as well. In this tactic, the scammers will chat with you and then ask for your mobile number. While texting with you, they will ask you for your nude photos and send you their unsolicited nude pictures.
Soon, you will receive a message claiming that he is the dad of the person who sent you those nude pictures. He will say that his wife or a teacher or somebody caught “his son” sexting with a pervert and that they would report you to the police if you don’t give them money.
Never pay anything to anyone! Instead, kindly report these profiles to us. Contact the police if need be, so they can conduct a fraud investigation.
Please be aware also that there are fake members offering fake massage service. Meanwhile, other scammers will redirect you to a bogus website—sometimes it appears as a renewal page—that will ask for your bank and credit card information. Please do not:
- click on any links provided in the mail;
- do not download attachments;
- do not provide your personal information such as your number, bank and credit card information, your home address and personal data, and online username and passwords to your bank accounts;
- please do not give your Social Security Number and ID to anyone;
- please do not send money to them to pay for their gas;
- you will be asked to join a gangbang party, they will ask for your email address plus a fee then they will ghost you;
- the spammer will ask for your phone number. You will receive a code on your phone and the scammer will ask for this code. With this code, they can get your personal information including your bank account, Facebook account, and all other information connected to your phone;
- do not give them game cards like PSN card, Google Play Gift Card, Xbox and Microsoft Gift Cards, and Amazon Gift Cards to name a few.
What You Can Do:
We encourage you to report these suspicious accounts. Simply click on the “Report User” button and our team will do the rest.
This is called phishing scam, guys, and the sender of the mails will even go as far as to tell you that they are a member of the Adam4Adam Team.
If this is your first time hearing about it, phishing is defined by Oxford Languages as “the fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.”
Other spammers are masquerading as members of our team. We will never do this to our users and one way of knowing if it is a legitimate message from us is if you cannot report the message you received to us. More importantly, our system and our team ban these types of accounts so please help us help you and:
- do not respond to mail messages requesting for personal information as it is their way to steal your money and your identity;
- please click on the “Report User” button to report these fraudsters. You will find this button on the person’s profile. Alternatively, whenever you get spam, scam, business solicitation, etc. messages, simply click the REPORT button located in the Adam4Adam mail box’s ‘read message’ page;
- please block them and do not reply to them but do not delete their message.
We have also talked about phishing scams in the past and the many ways you can recognize it. If you missed the post, simply click here to read it.

Note: Click “Allow” button when a notification box appears asking you if you want to use your camera. Also, please don’t forget to copy the gesture shown in the sample photo in Adam4Adam.
Phishing Reporting can only be done when a user is NOT BLOCKED from reporting.
Dave:
It would seem logical, or at least, reasonable…
that any A4A Member…is smart enough to give neither personal email address or phone number…or both?
Anyone dumb-enough or naïve enough to fall for any reasonably obvious scammer or other such Malfeasance…and is married…
should not be on such a site…to begin with…!
When are your programmers going to fix the location services that allow members to say they are in a specific city and I know I’m
I’m a few miles from them yet their mileage shows they are 7000+ miles away. This is a dead giveaway that the profile is a phishing one.
How about requiring that more than 2 fields be completed when creating a profile?
Always do a. refresh when you open the app, the gps in your phone will adjust.
It works on my phone
The fake accounts have gotten so bad that it’s hard to take any message seriously lately. I’m not a pay member, so I guess I have to live with it or just stop using the site.
Another one to watch out for, also including phone number, is the “angry father” routine. You chat awhile with a person whose profile claims a legal age. The person looks legal age. He asks to text by phone. So he will soon send unsolicited nude pictures. If this happens, say you have none saved except on the site. You also need to ask point blank, if he is really 18 or over? (You can always show pics in Adam email, which they voluntarily view by logging in. See the difference?) Anyway, you will get a message from the same or… Read more »
This is what exactly happened to a friend of mine!! Right down to “angry dad” , but when my friend pretty much told him to go fuck himself, a week later he got some sort of email from a “lawyer” informing him that they could mediate instead of putting him through expensive court case.
Dave:
I get “Imposters” from these following AREAS:
All of the aforementioned, replete with the stylized, Manneristic pics, colorized and all profiling that they are looking for love, relationship and life-long partner… .
They target, reasonably attractive, middle-aged, white males…such as myself. They are utterly predictable, bland, somewhat unattractive and all looking for opportunities…outside of themselves.
They all sign on using the APP for A4A, and they come in spurts. I report them as presented.
Thanks for reporting them!
Dave:
A4A is a good site and I, for one, enjoy it.
It is in my best interest to help keep this site free from the parasites! They flock; they swarm; they invade and they try to conquer!
yep, get those all the time, and I delete those all the time, LOL
They also go after black middle aged men!! I’m one of them.
they go after everyone they can!
blabla
Thanks Steve, this is NOT just a middle aged White male problem on A4A…these scammers come after we men of color as well..;-))
Seriously, Andre?! Why must everything be about race? Do you really think these scammers have ANY idea who they are talking to or what race you are? Many profiles don’t have pictures. Stop playing the victim, that game is very old and tired.
You’re just now noticing this? This site has been inundated with scammers since changing web hosts.
all dating websites are, not just a4a.
Dating sites and apps are good target for spammers and scammers.
Make sure to report them though so that we can block their ips, and remove them
Thanks. This was needed. A criminal contacts me almost every time that I log on anymore. One used pictures of someone with a black eye and claimed he was date raped by a hookup and wanted to do a background check on me. They’re also sending fake locations trying to convince me they’re local. It goes on and on.
What about all the guys from Russia that are always messaging me?
do you report them?
Make sure you do, it helps them get banned and removed from a4a
Yeah, these Russian dudes are always comin’ at me with game, I just ignore them. Every now and then; some “bro’s” invite me to a sex-party, after reading my profile or not, they try me anyway, I basically state preference for older, secondly I prefer masturbation type-sex at first, safety precaution. I absolutely adore being HIV-.
Hey Lamar, what are you racist or something? Got something against Russian guys? It’s not right to form generalizations about others without having all your facts first.
I’m actually more patriotic, than racist, you’re mixing things up aren’t you? Being that America was/is under attack, you know how ignorant you sound, considering?
This “everyone is the same” narrative is fake and unsustainable. Even white people are quite different from each other. Germans and Italians are not the same at all! They both have their charms, but they are … VERY DIFFERENT.
you ADORE being hiv -? what is wrong with you
considering the source… hilarious. its almost as if a4a turns a blind eye to the oh-so-obvious and oh-so-prevalent loyal romantic charismatic scammers
Are people really stupid enough to fall for this fishin bullshit? Anyone I do not know gets absolutely nothing from me. And I refuse to acknowledge anyone asking for money or anything else in a message, text or email.
Is there anything being done about being blocked on zendesk? No idea at to why I am, but I have noticed it’s inconsistent. Some days I am, some days I’m not. I get (obvious) spam messages pretty much daily at this point (most commonly it’s the sugar daddy that’s never anywhere nearby but always in the states, looking to put money in your account by asking for your routing number). I can’t report spam if I’m blocked from being able to do so & this happens often. Anyone else have this issue?
Hi Nick, I’ll check with support
yes, they block you if you report too many profiles.
It would be nice to be able to limit contact to “only those verified” and have the others blocked.
It has come to your attention ?!?!?! This has been going on for YEARS ! ! !
I’ve also found that profiles that appear to be near you but only have a gender and age listed are usually spam as well.
Have these scammers gone so far as to use some fake lawyers group out of Houston, TX in an email to scam and scare anyone?
It’s about time A4A acknowledged they have a problem with spammers and how to not fall victim to their schemes. However it would be better if they would eliminate scammers and spammers altogether from their platform.
This has happened to me once. Guy was nice, seemed legit. Just wanted to text me for hook up times. Nothing too out of the ordinary.
Then when I texted. He demanded money or he would “tell my family” which he tried to say names but must have found the wrong guy . so I got lucky. But don’t give away info outside of the app.
Since then at least two other guys have tried the same thing!
The same type of thing happened to a friend of mine while we were painting my house, He had interacted earlier that morning and then they called him back and attempted to extort him. I took the phone and rattled off some letters that sounded official and proceeded to tell them that extortion was a serious crime and we were tracking the obvious burner phones they were using, they yelled a few obscenities and immediately terminated the call. I gave my buddy back his phone and he just stared in disbelief for a couple of minutes, LOL.
The “FAKE” profiles on here are those with maybe 1-2 sections filled out. Also, you know INSTANTLY who they are because you immediately get the “wink emoji” as an E-Mail from them. Boy, what are the chances of so many random people having the EXACT SAME E-Mail & NOTHING in their profiles? Is there a way to REPORT these profiles? On a side note, I DO wish A4A would update their search features by giving us details like: status, body type, host/travel, top/bottom/verse, etc.. Not much fun to go looking for people in your area when it’s only narrowed down… Read more »
Hey, our search filters are the best compared to all dating apps.
You can search by age, body type, ethnicity, status etc.
Not sure if you’re looking at the right place cause we’ve got it all!
the locator is still off by AU’s
Profiles with minimal information should not be allowed. What good is a profile with only height and weight? And of course no picture. If a “member” can’t click on at least 20-25% of the checkboxes, that’s a message in itself.
“Overt d’Espirit” I agree 100% with you!!!…profiles that are NOT filld out in full should not be allowed!…furthermore I report assholes atleast once a month to A4A for potential scams…its gotten so bad I really dont trust any profile,have a hard time just giving out my Phone #?…Certainly was not like this a few years back. I often ask myself “who in Hell would give money to someone they have never met?”…I scared of the answer!!….Not to knock A4A but they REALLY should be doing MORE than just a blog post about this problem. Oh and guys be leary of… Read more »
Speaking of threatening to expose someone, somebody should expose a4a for its liberal bias garbage politics, esp a certain asshole scumbag named Dave and then make their website ‘disappear’ along with their entire woke jerkoff staff.
What do you know, my friend Kevin was able to finally get his hateful comments toward loser Dave approved!! Hooray for justice
yeah, when i post pointing out how hypocritical they are or just something that goes against their brainless blog, it never gets posted. guess they arent very “tolerant” of “diverse” ideas
Hey, guys, Just use common sense when using this or any other site or app. Never give out personal info like phone number, address, or anything that creeps out there can use to google you to identify you or to stalk you. Be mindful of what photos you choose to share; for example, full-body nudes with face are probably unwise for most people, and remember that photos can be downloaded and saved and fed into online reverse image searches to find you on social media such as to find your Facebook or Instagram or other social media profile. Remember that… Read more »
we all need to be aware and watch our private information.. I my self fell victim to a scammer saying my wife is distraught over my son trying to commit sucide,if you don’t pay up, they will contact the police.. I stayed calm and let them spew filth at me on the phone. i turned around and called the police asking to speak with a detective,when they say no such person here. One policeman called me and said you should report the actions to A4A, and the FBI fraud unit. I did.. so botton line and I am just as… Read more »
I had been on A4A for at least 15 years and never had a problem. Last week I fell victim to the “married” scam. Guy chatted me up and wanted to meet up and then said that his wife was home and could I give him my number so we could text because he didn’t want his wife to see him on the site. Married myself, I stupidly gave him my number instead of the untraceable google voice number that I have. Sent a few nudes to me and said that he was masturbating and wanted to see my face,… Read more »
