Lady Gaga has just announced in her social media accounts that she is pushing back the release of her much-awaited sixth studio album called Chromatica until further notice because of the COVID-19 crisis. The Born This Way singer had previously scheduled the release of Chromatica on April 10, 2020. She said in a statement:
“This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic.”
She added:
Instead I prefer that we spend this time focusing on finding solutions. It’s important to me that the attention is on getting essential medical equipment to healthcare professionals, making sure kids who depend on public schools for meals get the assistance they need, and that we help those who will be financially impacted by this pandemic.

Further, Lady Gaga said that MGM had already postponed her Vegas shows from April 30 to May 11 because of CDC’s guidelines about public gatherings though she is hopeful that her other Vegas shows scheduled for the rest of the month of May will continue. She also still plans to see her Little Monsters for her Chromatica Ball tour this summer.
In addition, Lady Gaga revealed that she has a lot of other fun surprises, some of which she said she will share very soon. This included a supposedly secret Coachella set that coincided with the release of her album but the festival was postponed as well from April to October.
Lady Gaga ended her statement by reminding everyone to practice kindness in these trying times. She added, “To my fans, I love you. I know you are disappointed. Probably angry and sad… I hope you can see that when the album does come out, I want us to be able to dance together, sweat together, hug and kiss each other, and make it the most bombastic celebration of all time And until that time comes, LET’S ALL STAY HOME!”
Mother Monster released the first single of Chromatica called Stupid Love late last month.
Take a look at some of her fans’ reactions to the postponement below:

I will never forgive you for that. I love you but it's the dumbest decision ever. The album will leak before the new release date congrats. It's probably Intercospe's fault but anyway it's the dumbest decision and I'm so sad and angry

That’s wrong… what did she just say!!! Chill… people are dying left and right I just lost my high school teacher from the virus last night and who knows next. Music can bring us together but what’s most important is actually being #AloneTogether so calm down. Relax.

I’d have released it so that people have something better to do than get drunk on quarantinis and stagger around like Chicken Littles.
Matt:
Maybe, just maybe…
she chose not to release so people would have better things to do than listen to her latest release? She may have had a “Epiphany” while listening to her latest release.
Bad Music is a plague…all unto itself!
Too many buy into the myth of what good music is. I know everyone has their tastes but today’s music is simply not good. Too much grandiose, distractions from the fact that without all her (and other so called arteests) manipulation with sound boards and lip-synching, they are not that good.
