Hey, guys! Do you love wearing jockstraps? Are you gay or bisexual? And most importantly, which one are you: a top, a bottom, or vers?
Jockstraps have a long and storied history within the gay community, serving both functional and symbolic roles. Originally designed for athletic support, jockstraps became a staple in gay culture, often associated with masculinity, fitness, and sexual appeal.
In gay fashion, jockstraps are popular for its ability to showcase the male physique, particularly the buttocks, in a way that’s both alluring and empowering. Many consider jockstraps a bold and sexy undergarment choice, worn proudly in various LGBTQ+ spaces, events, and pride celebrations.
Beyond aesthetic appeal, jockstraps have found a place in gay subcultures and fetish communities. Some individuals are drawn to the eroticism and kink associated with jockstraps, incorporating them into intimate moments or themed events. The snug fit and revealing nature of jockstraps contribute to their popularity in settings that embrace body positivity and self-expression.
Moreover, the LGBTQ+ community often uses jockstraps as symbols of solidarity and identity. They can signify membership in specific subcultures or serve as playful expressions of sexual orientation. In recent years, diverse representations of bodies and styles have further expanded the acceptance and celebration of jockstraps within the gay community.
From the 1950s and 1960s onward, a significant number of gay men have embraced jockstraps as a form of erotic attire, especially within the leather and BDSM subcultures. The appeal of this garment has continued to grow, gaining particular popularity among gay men and members of the broader LGBTQ+ community in the 2020s. Recognizing this trend, major brands have joined the movement, producing jockstraps adorned with vibrant rainbow colors and Pride-themed designs.
In essence, jockstraps have become more than just athletic gear; they’ve evolved into a dynamic and multifaceted aspect of gay culture, embodying confidence, sensuality, and a sense of belonging for many in the LGBTQ+ community.
Anyway, what about you, guys? Do you love wearing jockstraps? Why or why not? If you love wearing a pair every now and then, you might want to check Adam4Adam’s jockstrap collection here and here.

Not me. Any sort of clothing does nothing for me. Let’s just strip and f*ck!
Luv Jockstraps. The strap rear bindings tightly hold up my ASS CHEEKS and rear sex, it is not necessary to take off undies but slit is open and READY
I see 6 thumbs up below my post but all the entries here are “pro-jockstrap.” Am I that unusual or are there others who are only into just getting naked and otherwise “anti-jock?” Honestly, I’m just curious, if anyone feels like replying.
I tell my lovers, “Take your clothes off and relax” — preferably without a jockstrap. If a dude wants to wear one, I deftly remove it with my toes while he’s fellating me (I’m a very naughty OldAss).
From the posts here, it seems that Gay guys don’t love jock straps. Some do. Some don’t. Others don’t see the excitement in a specific underwear, either wearing it or when others do. If one this is certain, it’s that being Gay doesn’t mean a guy automatically loves or is anything. Some Gays are Progressive; others Conservative. Some love topping or bottoming or just one of those; others have no use for anal whatsoever. Some like sucking/swallowing giving/receiving; others don’t enjoy sucking or being sucked at all. Some are fem; some masculine; some somewhere in between. Being Gay doesn’t mean… Read more »
Interesting. As I’ve gotten older, I prefer some type of clothing; jockstrap, thong, tight/fitted jeans, A-shirt that resst halfway down the ass, etc. Anything related that brings out the roundness of an ass. Strip and fuck was great years ago but my tastes have changed over the last decade. Need something more than a naked body in front of me. Of course, if they truly have a bubble butt, which is rare, then no clothing needed!
Why? Because it’s all about the ass.
I absolutely love them. Total bottom here and I love wearing them and showing off my ass for a sexy top. And I love wearing them while I’m getting pounded.
CORRECTION!
CERTAIN MEN “LOVE JOCK STRAPS” BECAUSE THE STRAPS ACTUALLY “PULL UP” THEIR SAGGING….FLAT…..FLOPPY ASS CHEEKS AND THEY CAN BELIEV THEY HAVE “BUBBLE BUTTS” LIKE CERTAIN OTHER GROUPS……..LOL
A “True Realist”
A Man not afraid to write the “Bitter Truth”!
A Man who “Sees It As It Really Is”!
A Man for “All Seasons”!
True statement. I don’t know how many men believe/think they have a bubble butt and their ass is as flat as a book. The jockstrap does not help. Everyone has an idea of a bubble butt and most I see online are not even close.
Not into “bubble butts”. Many seem way out of proportion with the rest of the guy. Right up their with guys who spend way more time working out on the leg machine than lifting with their chests and arms. Most guys I’ve met or seen with pronounced bubble butts have been more fem than I’m attracted to, too. But hey, if bubble butts float your boat, great! Some guys with less curvature to their asses look great because their asses are right-sized for the rest of them. Gay men come in all shapes and sizes; there are plenty to meet… Read more »
Jockstraps are just plain fun. They make us feel sexy. I like putting one on occasionally. Guys always notice.
Prefer wearing a thong, or nothing at all!
Yes, in addition to my jockstrap collection, I have a thong collection, but I prefer the jockstraps. Thongs seem too feminine to me, whereas jockstraps are more masculine. I wear a thong if a sex partner is really masculine and likes a more feminine look, but part of the reason I’m gay is because I like masculine things and have never been attracted to feminine ones. Jockstraps and other sports gear are my favorite sex look!
They reek of gym classes, and are highly unsanitary, nor do the traditional ones provide support. So, no, don’t love them. What I do want is for you to instruct younger men in how to cruise. They don’t know the signals, the system, and it’s very frustrating for us who are used to it.
I would like to see an article about cruising, and the how to, i know some but am i missing something?
I am curious, Done some things but don’t who, what, where to meet guys, story on cruising would be helpful. Never gone all the way with a guy but its been on my mind for years.
Jockstraps are not unsanitary….unless you never wash it. And since most guys from the 1980’s to the present were not required to wear jockstraps during gym class, how can they reek of gym class? From what I have heard, guys today are not required to shower after gym class. And young men do their cruising on the internet.
Correct. As an uncle to teenagers and 20/early 30-somethings who are straight and gay, they spend their time looking for a hookup on the apps. What they told me is that they’ll “cruise” only when they meet up with groups and even then, through their phones. They feel a little weird when an older guy is obvious in public and trying to hit on them. (As I told them, likely because they have poor communication skills and they can only “speak” through their phones.)
Jockstrap. One teenager in the family asked: “What’s that?” I love families that cross generations.
Should we start teaching them Polari too?
If you meet someone who is wearing an unsanitary jock strap, chances are that person is unsanitary in every situation, underwear, food prep, etc and you might want to avoid them. I have not met a single person who wore an unsanitary jock.
What does cruising have to do with wearing jocks??
I love wearing jockstraps and seeing them on other guys. They are sports gear, which brings associations of athletes; they expose the ass and conceal the cock, which some bi and straight guys prefer when fucking another man; and they feel revealing, even when worn under other clothing. They are far sexier than briefs or other underwear.
I love jockstraps. Seeing a hot bubble along with huge balls is a major turn on.
i’m a little curious as to why more guys aren’t into jocks or skimpy skimpy underwear.
I love jockstraps and skimpy underwear,,I mean I’m not into wearing dresses are bras or stocking and it’s nuthin wrong with that if that’s what you into,,like some guys may not like guys in thongs or jockstraps or men bikinis,, it’s what you like,,, I’m a very masculine married man but behind closed doors I’ve worn panties and a cut off wife beater,,,made me feel like a hot bitch while sucking dick,, but I was a masculine man once the door open,, I love skimpy underwear
I love jocks, but not really into skimpy underwear. Jocks are a huge turn on. I love nothing more than seeing a hot ass caressed by a jock. The sexy underwear is normally just not really well fitting and the ads make them seem sexier than they are in person, imo.
I think the media loves jockstraps more than the average gay man.
There are some Gay guys who are self-proclaimed “Keepers of the Gay Brand.” They want to push the typical notion that Gay guys are all always hot for hot sex with hot other guys. So it’s jockstraps over tighty whities.
Well for a top you pull the elastic waist band under your equipment and it
makes em high and tight. For the bottom the straps are like landing lights.
Why not? Some like underwear. Some like socks. To each his own.
WHAT DO GAY MEN LOVE SO MUCH ABOUT JOCKSTRAPS?
I ask myself the same question. The model in the story looks great, but the average Joe lacks the body to truly be appreciated wearing one. At this point in my life, that sexy devil in boxer shorts, carrying an extra 10 lbs. around his waist is more than enough to get the blood flowing to all the right places. All right, that and a little help from Pfizer’s little blue.
I will say this though, A hot little hunk I was seeing, occasionally wore one with a zipper front. Large ring on the zipper pull made it very easy to pull down with my teeth. The resulting boing out the front was my prize to savor.
In my everyday life I wear boxers and boxer briefs around my wife and under my street clothes,,, I don’t want to give off any hints,,, and because they’re so cheap,, I usually stop by Dicks Sporting Goods or Academy and pickup a pair when I about to get fucked and throw them away on my way home,,, I enjoy wearing a jockstrap before and during getting fucked,,, they make me feel sexy and hot,, and it’s my way of letting my top know my ass is his for the taking and letting him know I want him to have… Read more »
The first time I saw a jockstrap was when I was 11 years old. My family went on a picnic to a park that had a swimming pool. We went to the pool locker rooms to change into our swimming suits. The locker room was a big open room with several rows of benches and showers on the opposite wall. You put your clothes into a basket and then gave the basket to an attendant to keep in a locked room while you were swimming. I was with my dad and older brother. Being a shy 11 year old…I quickly stripped off my… Read more »
I’m gonna say the coach in question invented that rule … for his own reasons.
he SURE did – and it’d be ALL OVER the INTERNET today if some coach did it, even tho it sounds FANTASTIC to me!! 🙂
I told this story to other guys from other schools and many said they had jock checks too….but most not so revealing. A friend who is a social worker said it was border line child abuse. No one in or school had a problem with it. And no one felt like there was any abuse. But even if it was his own rule….its one I LIKED!
I only wear boxers around the house or nothing and go commando otherwise. In Soflo, the less tight-restrictive clothing the better.
Nice jockstrap always better then saggy briefs
I love wearing them especially since I am an aggressive tennis player. They keep me in check and not flopping around the courts.
I like grabbing on to the jock strap, above the ass when, I’m plowing doggy style. RIDE EM COWBOY! Also when I was 12 and at Boy Scout camp on the Oregon coast, I stole the jock strap of of one of the older boys (17 or 18) that were swim instructors. I was little pervert from way back…
I am a jockstrap worshipper, they are sexy on any man, as are speedo’s. I wear jockstrap everyday. Make me feel sexy and alive.
For the MOST part, I have not liked the look of Jockstraps and have NEVER been drawn to them. I prefer thongs over jockstraps any day…However, I have recently been given some DECORATIVE jockstraps that I have fallen in love with and they DO INDEED frame my ass, just so. I have also recently purchased a small order of fashion underwear and each of the pair looks wonderful on my FIRM 51 y/o cyclist’s ass. One of the pair is a very sexy and decorative and sleek-looking jockstrap with some metal Orings on the front and sides that holds the… Read more »
Jock straps and any type of clothing mean nothing to me. I am attracted to men, not their clothes. Turn of the lights and take em off.
Nope. I don’t like the feeling of my ass hanging out.
Jockstraps are cool, but after playing football for years and wearing the real deal, the jockstraps sold in stores just feel cheap and weird AF.
You can find vintage jockstraps on eBay and a few other sites but they can be expensive. The jockstraps from the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s were the best. The Bike brand was very popular as was the Bauer and Black brand, Defender brand, Duke brand, Flarico brand and even Sear, J c Penny’s and K-mart brand.
“When I wore a younger man’s clothes” – Billy Joel … I really liked jock straps. In H.S. i ran cross country. To embarrass, mom would slingshot one from laundry while folding, “Hey, here is your nose guard”. Sis probably had a friend over, so it mostly embarrassed her. Now I’m older, and I like to vac pump, so jock straps just don’t have a big enough pouch for HUGE pumps beans and weiner. My pet peeve when in a sling would be the top stretching out the ass straps. I will still wear one on occasion as a form… Read more »
I prefer total nudiety over wearing a jockstrap. Just my preference
I ran track for four years in high school. I never wore a jockstrap. No hernias. Similarly, I will be seventy-one in October. No erectile issues. Never owned a cock ring. I cannot wear briefs — only boxer briefs. The common theme is that OleBoy doesn’t like being crowded and confined. I don’t get the gay fascination with jock straps; I prefer my dudes nude.
Im a bottom but love looking at a mans ass! Jocks are very sexy fot that reason. As a bottom though, I prefer to be bareass naked when fucking!
Jockstraps are nostalgia signifiers for older men and something like open-air thongs for younger ones. As a member of the former group, I still like them, but I utterly loathe the butt flossing thongs. I think the person who ranted about the filthy unsanitary horror of jockstraps was likely confusing the two. Seeing a jockstrap is like walking into the locker rooms where I was required to wear them as a teenager and seeing everyone’s butt framed by the straps. I love fucking a dude who’s wearing one. I generally like the look but i like popping the leg straps… Read more »
An absurd trend, (like the wearing of baseball caps backwards), among the nauseating trendsetter gay subculture only, of course.
I don’t wear them, and I LOATHE when someone else does with me. It comes off immediately.
The athletic supporter manufacturers didn’t give ONE iota about what gay ‘culture’ dictates in their purposeful design of these strictly utilitarian garments.
Love them! Growing up in the 70’s, we were asked to wear them for gym class, but it was never enforced. The only kids who wore them were the ones who participated in sports. I started wearing them in my late teens. Always workout in them (I’m the old guy in the locker room putting it on or taking it off). Wear them on weekends underneath my clothes and get nice comments from the men I hook up with. True jockaholic here.
I love looking and being with a guy with a jockstrap. I’ve got a collection of them I’ve purchased from porn stars and OF models – just so I can sniff and lick them when I’m beating off. Erotic to me…weird to other I suppose.
I was not required to wear jocks during gym in the ’80s so I had no idea what they were about or what they did (sexually) or didn’t do for a guy as I never saw a guy in one. That changed when I was older and met guys or saw pornos. I will say that certain guys just wear them well. I own some for playing with another guy. My recent experience came when I’d been talking to a guy for several months and we finally clicked on schedules and we met at my place, He was hungry to… Read more »
They don’t actually make sense. It’s the genitals that should be exposed and the butt covered.
Work boots and jockstraps are my only two clothing objects that approach fetish. I like the jocks piss, sweat, and cum stained.
People who wear them mostly have muscular or atletic bodies.
Very rarely see that about people in boxers.
As a DL discreet bi bottom, I love wearing sexy jockstraps with sexy underwear like Rick Majors or Gregg Homme and a few others when I am lucky enough to play with a guy. Wearing a sexy jockstrap with sexy short boxer briefs where the straps are visibly outlined or sexy men’s bikini underwear where the straps are exposed has always turned me on and the few men I have been fortunate to play with. Sometimes they wear sexy jockstraps or underwear too. If a guy is wearing tighty whitey briefs, I am instantly turned off. Removing my underwear to… Read more »
