The term “bussy” is a portmanteau of “boy” and “pussy,” often used within the gay community to refer to the anus, particularly in the context of sexual activity. It’s a colloquialism that has gained traction in certain online spaces and conversations, sometimes used humorously or provocatively. However, its usage and reception vary widely among gay men.
For some, bussy is seen as a playful and subversive reclaiming of language, challenging traditional gender norms and exploring new expressions of sexuality. It can be used in a lighthearted manner among friends or within certain online communities where such language is common and accepted.
However, others view bussy as problematic or offensive. They argue that it reinforces harmful stereotypes about gay men and their bodies, reducing complex sexual experiences to crude and reductive terms. Additionally, some feel that the word perpetuates misogyny by equating the anus with female genitalia in a way that is disrespectful and dehumanizing.
The debate over bussy reflects broader conversations within the LGBTQ+ community about language, identity, and empowerment. While some individuals may embrace the term as a form of self-expression and solidarity, others reject it as a form of internalized homophobia or misogyny.
Ultimately, the meaning and impact of the term bussy depend on context and intention. It’s essential to consider the diverse perspectives within the queer community and respect individuals’ preferences regarding language and terminology. As with any word or phrase, understanding its history and connotations is crucial for meaningful and respectful communication.
Having said all that, what do gay men think about the word bussy and what term do they actually prefer? The original poster (OP) of the thread on Reddit asked, “How do you guys feel about the term ‘bussy’?” he then went on to explain that personally, he gets turned on by it, but he just want to know the other guys’ opinion on the term.
A respondent said, “Cringe. It fills me with the rage of 1000 suns.” While another replied, “Huge turn-off. Any of the terms which make a man’s hole sound like a woman’s is a turn-off. No boogina. No mangina. No bussy. Nope.”
Meanwhile, a gay man who agreed to the statement above shared, “I agree 100%. I actually stopped having sex with a guy once when he started calling his asshole a bussy and mangina.” He added, “I let it slide with the first term. I just said ‘Yuck, that’s nasty!,’ but I kept going. Then about 5 minutes later, he called it his mangina. I immediately pulled out, and started getting dressed. I’m gay, I’m into men. I don’t need to hear the hole that I’m fucking called by a semi-masculine version of female genitalia. I mean if I wanted to fuck female genitalia, or be made to think of such things, I’d be into having sex with women. Been there, hated that. LMAO!”
There are, of course, others who find it funny. “I’m a top and I love a fem bottom that enjoying getting his bussy smashed all night,” one guy confessed. However, some of them still wouldn’t want the term used in bed like this guy who said, “I like it in a funny way. If someone used it while flirting, I’d see it as cheeky. If someone said in while we were in bed seriously though I’d probably have to stop and just say ‘no, don’t say that again please.’”
What about you, guys? How do you feel about the term “bussy” and what word would you rather hear? Share with us your thoughts and stories in the comments section below!
The term is yuk. To a gay man. A true gay ma I mean. To reminiscent of the word pussy. I’m a top. It turns me off when guys I’m contemplating fucking refer to their ass as a pussy. And Buddy is no better. I fuck men in their asses And further more men who are trying to be women or in a woman’s role
It takes real courage to stand up and say something so silly. And in a public place, too. *slow clap*
Yeah, that guy in the pic? I don’t care what he calls his asshole. He could call it his boicunt or bussy or even his pterodactyl cloaca and I’d still lick it and fuck it.
Damn straight. He could call it a pterodactyl with 12″ razor-sharp teeth. I’m still gonna plow the fuck out of it.
You feel how you feel but dude you seem homophobic.
I hate that term and never use it. If you use it, we will not meet.
Besides, I only do oral, so no anal for me.
Thanks! It’s guys like you, that made for lines at my bath house door. 3-4 hot boys waiting in line to get some real good dick…
Yeah, Clyde, you definitely strike all of us as a Grade-A sex god.
Lmao, nice one!
It is a disgraceful term that plays into the stereotype of there having to be a “wife” or “woman” in every relationship involving two men.
Or it could just be a playful portmanteau..
Only 2 words in the English language send chills down my spine. Queer and bussy. I never have gotten a email or been informed about these meetings where people are deciding what words we are reclaiming and cancelling. Anybody else know?
The word “queer” sounds chills down your spine? Boomer much, grandpa?
Grow up idiot. That is a pretty rude and childish thing to say. You are going to be old eventually and maybe even a grandpa. I’m a baby boomer too and back in our day, being called queer usually preceded getting beat up by homophobes.
Speaking of terms.
I worked with some British sailors years ago on NATO exercise and a “fag” was a cigarette. I once read a book about castles and the torches hanging on walls for light were called “faggots”. How did the meanings morph when they came to America?
It is a hate term whether you think so or not. It is offensive, and nothing changes that. It’s not cool. The academics who thought that “appropriating it” would remove the sting were completely wrong.
The only person who has failed to remove the sting is you. Words are inert tools. If you choose to be offended, that’s a you problem, not the academics’ problem.
You say it is offensive and nothing changes that. Offensive according to who? You? Not me – I don’t find it offensive in the least. And, no, I do not think it is a hate term. I think that you think it is a hate term because you have filled it with hate and made it so. Words themselves do not have power – words only offend us or hurt us if we allow them to. I want to know who deemed it a hate term and called it offensive. Is there a rule, policy or law defining it as… Read more »
I can understand the misgivings of using or hearing the word queer. And it may easily date older individuals. A very early meaning was an adjective meaning strange or peculiar. Then there was a game such as smear the queer. And the usage had a very derogatory and acerbic edge to it, like many other pejorative terms used to inflict cruelty or show intolerance. I cringe at hearing it too, despite understanding that the intent of its current usage is not meant to disparage by the mainstream community. Perhaps there may be a more updated term that might make a… Read more »
The word “faggot” used to mean “bundle of sticks”. Instead of looking for neologisms, perhaps we should just roll with the punches, know that the meaning and usages of word change organically over time, and stop taking umbrage at outmoded, outdated meanings of the word that aren’t intended anymore when used.
I do understand that words or colloquialisms do often change generationally, if not within a greater span of time. Specifically, I was not taking umbrage, but rather explaining how some others and I feel about the word’s usage based upon shared and dated experiences. And at the time, it often had its intended effect upon people receiving said slur. Call it a form of PTSD, be ir lesser or greater in degree. Historically, many parallels can be drawn. If the meaning and its intent has truly changed in the early 21st century, then that is good and progression has been… Read more »
The original meaning of “queer” is still predominant and will never change. Gay is the positive term, homophile is the scientific term.
IMHO, we have reclaimed the word “queer” (which I, personally, never adopted), made it less pejorative, and widely expanded it! As to “bussy”, it’s camp and amusing, but somewhat misogynistic, and to be used with twinks, perhaps….but not in a mature sexual context. Unless you want to subscribe to man + pussy = “mussy”. (Doesn’t work for me, either). I’ll stick to good ol’ “ass”.
Counterfeiters used to use the word queer to mean poorly printed money.
Knock off the ageist shit. Trust me, you’ll be in our group before you know it!
Not guaranteed but you’re thinking positively.
I hate bussy but am fine with queer. When I was in college, in the infant days of the internet, there was an invite only forum called Queerspace. I’m indifferent to it, I do not call myself queer, but if others call themselves queer, I respect and acknowledge it.
Also, never call me a girl and say you’re fucking my pussy. I’ll nope out really fucking quick!
BOY PUSSY…..SUBURBAN WHITE MEN WILL BE SAYING THIS TERM IN THE NEXT 5-10 YEARS SOON..
I use manpussy as a fun term with a bud who I play with and we’re both fine with it.
If a guy tells me he has: bussy, boipussy, pussy, mangina, cunt, etc, he better be ready to get fucked….No tap outs!
“Trendy” you’re probably right.
yep, just another trend.
Not a fan. As a gay man, I am not a fan of using the terminology for lady parts, so that word isn’t for me.
I’ll just assume, judging from the responses thus far, that doodoo pussy is out of the question as well? Such sensitivity…
You know, pussy can get real nasty, if it’s not cleaned out too…
Yes, I am aware of that from a number of experiences in my younger days when I thought I wanted to conform to society’s norms.
I’m familiar with that theory, but have never experienced it. Or ever will. I’ll take your word for it.
I truly do not take comfort in that word. I absolutely do not. But then again, I may just be too aware of what I like. I refer to it as an ass, asshole, hole, lovehole, anus, rectum, or with someone who is on extreme playful terms with me, I call it “mine, you!” I like to get with a guy who looks like a guy. I like him to refer to his body as it is, with an ass and a dick. I am not offended if his mannerisms are not butch, that is, if he is naturally foppish… Read more »
Not a fan of bussy or pussy when talking about man sex. I prefer man-ass or hot man hole!!! Nothing in regard to a woman. The fun-size guy in the picture is very hot by the way!!! Would really enjoy lodging my long dick deep inside his sweet, tasty- looking manhole!!!!
another term that makes the community look stupid
Most guys that hate it are way too gay for me. Like the type of guy who gets mad at his bf for complimenting a female. Dude, grow up and install a spine. Usually these are the types who can’t get a man due to so many silly issues, like ‘fatherless’ gays. Its helpful though, because it ‘weeds out’ gays you don’t want to be bothered with. Its funny in a culture where men BELIEVE they’re females, believe they’re DIVAS, believe they’re special, in PUBLIC, and yet their feathers are ruffled by using a word IN PRIVATE, thats only used for… Read more »
I have never referred to any gay male as girl, honey, miss thing, or any other term that should only be reserved for women, and do not tolerate anyone referring to me with such terms. They are as offensive as bussy.
Okay, girl.
But they are gay tradition, you cunt.
I can’t believe that this is an issue.
Are you shocked? It’s men…everything is an issue. Hight, color, finances, cut/uncut, weight,…basically anything physical. Men refuse to see each other as people instead of pieces of meat.
It’s extremely offensive. It feminizes the ass and the act of fucking. There’s nothing feminine about two men fucking. It’s misuse of the language. We don’t form words like that. It’s trashy slang at best.
This is the second time I strongly agree with you.
It feminizes it as much as it masculinizes it. The “b” in “bussy” stands for “boy,” after all. Come to think of it, it’s probably the most sex-neutral term for an asshole you can think of.
But now you are contradicting yourself. You say it’s perfectly acceptable to say “fuck his ass” but it’s offensive to say “fuck his bussy”. But what if someone does not want their anus compared to a donkey as it glorifies beastiality? Guess we need to eradicate the word “ass” because I think glorifying beastiality is MUCH MUCH worse than gay men glorifying female genitalia.
Hell hath frozen over. I agree with Mother Hennepin for like the second time ever.
As someone who has worked with the English language for 50 years (journalist, media relations, PR, marketing) I find it pretty nasty. There are two words I mostly hate these days with queer being the other one. Not every word has to be reclaimed by gay folks; some should probably be left alone as the slurs they always have been. I also believe in the rule of Parsimony which basically says simple is always best. That’s why when we started adding more letters and symbols to the acronym for our community, I also found myself shaking my head. People out… Read more »
I’m a bottom and love all things anal. But I am not a female. One thing I think we can agree on is it’s a hole and it’s used for fucking hence it’s my fuckhole.
Okay, girl.
Just like my hole plowed! I dont care what you call it
I personally don’t care what a man wants to call my hole, as long as he uses it for his own sexual gratification. If the term bussy gets him harder, go for it.
I’ve never heard anyone use that term. Nothing else to say about that lame ass topic.
Blacks use it a lot, in my observations.
Boyknt
The term is gross. No gay man wants anything to do with pussy.
…but get fucked in the ass like one
While the term “boy pussy” is degrading, the term “bussy” is both degrading and juvenile. Other degrading terms for a man’s butt are “man pussy,” “boy cunt,” and “man cunt.”
There’s nothing wrong with using manpussy with a guy who I play with as we’re both fine with it.
You should see your doctor. Maybe he can prescribe some copium about it.
P.S. I forgot another horrible term, “mangina.”
I prefer FUCK TUBE, but no matter what you call it, I will still fuck it. 8,000 (or so) beautiful men have felt my dick, balls deep in their fuck tubes.
No they haven’t.
8,000 or so men….. Okay, Wilt Chamberlain!
Our society is so obsessed with having to put a label on every single thing. I see nothing wrong with simply describing someone as, for example, a young man who enjoys being submissive sexually. Knowing how to use proper words and the English language can be a beautiful thing.
It’s a dumb word, and I’m not sexually compatible with anybody who’s willing to describe themselves with it or any other feminized descriptions. I fuck men in the ass, and I get fucked in the ass! Long as you douche first, it ain’t nasty!
As a doctor speaking professionally, gender assigned males do not possess female body parts. And to refer to one’s ‘backside’ using quasi female terminology is both anatomically incorrect and potentially demeaning. This and similar nomenclature (e.g., man see you next Tuesday) appear wrong on so many levels.
Tell me you’re lying about being a doctor without telling me you’re lying about being a doctor.
And that’s ALL you took away from my post?
Men are not “gender assigned!” Talk about demeaning. Men are men, period. They are born that way and will always be that way no matter what they do to their bodies. The same goes for women. Doctors are committing widespread fraud helping nutjobs “transition.”
Next time you have a medical appointment, examine your EPIC and/or intake record. More than likely it will depict: “Gender assigned at birth”. And it’s male, not men, as a categorical variable.
Bussy .. as in “bus eee”? Or “boose eee”? Until you hear it spoken, its pronunciation is dicey.
I’m into men, guys who act like males, not females, so the whole concept of a “man pussy” is dicey for me. A turn off.
If guys are into it when partnering up, great. They should go for it.
For me, with “bussy”, it’s “game over”, before the game has even begun.
As a bisexual top man, I fuck women’s pussies and men’s asses. No need for weird, confusing titles. If you want something to call a “pussy” go have trans surgery!
I’ve used the word bussy,, but I think it used by the younger,bi,gay, trans generation’these days,, I don’t understand the big deal,, if you don’t like the term, don’t use it,, or maybe you’re just out dated,, it’s a new day and time,, maybe you like the term butthole, shithole, anus, fart box, some of us still love pussy,, but of course if you’re totally gay you may not like the word pussy or anything close to it (bussy). I’ve heard many tops call it bussy,
I just don’t understand the rationale or the need to use any type of feminine terminology to describe any man’s body part. The only exception, might be for a guy transitioning to be a woman. We are men who like having sex with other men. We don’t fuck or get fucked in a bussy or man pussy, we’re fucking and eating an ass. Plain and simple. Same goes for working a guys nips. They’re attached to his chest, not his titties. Sorry to sound corny guys, but just man up.
For the love of fuck, I am a man that wants a man. If you call me girl, or call your/my ass a bussy or a pussy, you’re jacking off alone or fucking someone else. Fuck off with that nonsense.
It’s just trivial trendiness, pure and simple, not really givin’ it any energy, but I will say, I’ve never really been turned on, by some man, who would refer to any part of his “male body” in female terms.
I think that very young men, are just going through their phases and may grow up and out of all the silly immature trendy busllshit.
I find it degrading. I’m also a top and when I’m with a bottom I’m with a man not a woman. Iove the term ass not bussy
bussy, manpussy, asshole, etc. everything’s just words to me.
Pussy does not automatically describe a woman’s sexual organ. A woman has a vagina . A pussy is a feline (cat)! If a boy/man has a bussy that is a good thing. Where is he?
1 of the dumbest terms out there.About as annoying as “just saying/you know what I’m saying”.
I am a bi bottom. I like my ASS played with and my MANHOLE or HOLE )*(
seduced, rimmed, eaten and fucked. It has been 8 years since my former regular top moved. My ass and hole have not had any action since. I do not care what a guy calls his ass and/or hole. To each his own. Live and let live.
