Menswear just got a lot more revealing. Sheer mesh shirts are taking over, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination. It takes serious guts to rock this look outside of a nightclub. Would you actually wear one? Are you bold enough to step out in one, or is this trend a hard pass for you?
Here are some celebrities wearing the look:
Connor Storrie
Connor Storrie stole the spotlight at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, stepping out in a daring, full sheer Saint Laurent turtleneck that left little to the imagination. The Heated Rivalry actor embraced the mesh trend, pairing the bold top with tailored trousers and edgy accessories. More than just a look, Storrie’s outfit was a masterclass in confidence and fluid masculinity.

Hudson Williams
Hudson Williams solidified his status as Hollywood’s newest style heavyweight. Matching Storrie’s energy at the event, the Heated Rivalry breakout star opted for a daring, sleeveless sheer Balenciaga top. The look was incredibly bold yet deeply sophisticated. Williams didn’t just showcase his physique; he helped create the defining fashion crossover of the season. Together, he and Storrie created one of the most talked-about fashion moments of the year.

A$AP Rocky
As a true fashion trailblazer, A$AP Rocky has made sheer mesh a staple of his repertoire. Frequently spotted in see-through tops at events and in editorials, he expertly styles them with layered jewelry and tailored pieces. By blending streetwear with high fashion, Rocky treats mesh as a bold statement rather than a gimmick, further cementing his influence on global menswear trends.
Harry Styles
Harry Styles’ iconic Gucci sheer blouse at the Met Gala helped redefine what men could wear on the red carpet. Styles, who has appeared in films like Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman, uses fashion as an extension of his artistic expression. The transparency of his outfits often mirrors the emotional openness in his music and acting. His influence continues to inspire both designers and fellow actors.
Having said all that, what do you think, Adam4Adam blog readers? Would you actually wear a sheer mesh shirt out in public? Would you wear it to a party, a club, or even just casually? Or does it feel like too much? If the right fit and styling came along, would you give it a shot? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below!
No thanx, I’d rather wear NO CLOTHES, than see thru!!! Lololol
If you are an masculine man… this is an absolute NO.
So, yes, you’re willing to try?
Darling! Do try to be nice!
No thanks, Miss Zoolander. I’ll just wear the flannel & jeans. You can headline this show.
She can wear the tiara, too!
You trying to look like a lumberjack would be even more hilarious than you carrying around a mink stole.
Raowr….the claws are out today….I love it!
Love the mink cape! The tweezed and shaped eyebrows…not so much! The necklace is a bit plain? Perhaps, a diamond necklace with matching chandelier earrings might work better?
“What’s old is what’s new” again, been there and done that when I had the physique, so, no.
“Live on Stage…. mistress Lamar , the gender illusionist “!
Lmfao! At one time, I played up my androgenous looks, more like “Grace Jones” hair and all.
I remember this fashion trend from and International Male catalog 40 years ago. Nothing new.
I just to love looking thru International Male…. They looked like white pimps at the Players Ball! You never saw anyone in West Hollywood with the audacity to wear those clown clothes.
lol, I agree!
Wow. Talk about old history…International Male. When I lived in San Diego in the early 1990’s, they actually had a brick and mortar store in Hillcrest.
That’s not a new thing by a very long stretch. I wore things like that 30 years ago when South Beach and NYC club scene was happening. All you need is a fit physique and confidence.
Fit physique & confidence = hour glass figure & tuck your penis with electrical tape
All those idiots who are afraid to wear it probably are lacking confidence or quite ugly! Masculinity is not a deterrent.. In fact it always looks better on a very masculine guy with muscles to crack nuts.
Yeah, right. You need an Mangina to pull this off!
Not. Usually the people into these things (like jockstraps) are the type you’ld rather not observe wearing that clothing.
If you wear this crap, you might as well “spaghetti strings”.
Not exactly a new trend. Dolce & Gabbana did laser cut tattoo shirts about 25 years ago. A trend like this won’t be taking over men’s fashion. It’s not a look that is flattering on most men. I won’t be wearing it. A real consideration here is, where are you going to wear it? & how many times are you going to wear it before you become “the guy in the see through shirt”
Like last summer crocheted shirt trend. They didn’t work on most guys. The ones Target is selling now really don’t work.
It worked on Magic Johnson’s son. Otherwise, no man should wear this unless he’s on stage with his 4 brothers!
No. Looks lame
Just can’t see sheer as enhancing or flattering on a guy.
When Storrie and Williams appeared in it, my immediate thought was “They’re wearing what? Really?”
It’s the same with guys who wear thongs, “butt floss” is I can think about.
As always, guys are free to wear whatever they’d like. And usually they make choices for clothing that makes sense for them overall.
Theay ALL look amazing, if ya got it flaunt it…it doesn’t last!
looks like it’s for vapid celeb types
Trends tend to be in bad taste; fashion in general is in very bad taste. Being a slave to fashion is very stupid.
yo, we ‘ll need to be emancipated zebra has his fashionable stripes always in fashion
No. Just a personal opinion: Men cannot pull it off. Unlike the female form (at least in North America) a nude male torso is completely acceptable in public. Females do not have that luxury so when they wear something shear or provocative, it is hinting at what is possible but unattainable. Where as with men, it just looks like they forgot to put on a shirt. There isn’t anything sexy about it (again, my opinion), I would rather see a good looking nude male torso than one with the “Sheer Look.” Also… didn’t men in the early 90’s have something… Read more »
You need a certain kind of mindset and body to wear this type of apparel and I have neither.
Clothing (or lack of them) is part of a toolkit of seduction. The peacock and show pony might have fun as the exhibitionist, and some can pull it off. It’s provocative, and provocation can work in undesired ways.
Love shear, was at a gay bar that has a pool and bar outside in St Pete, a guy had damn near shear bathing suit, wow loved it
I truly do not understand the negligee thing in public. Even in private. (A natural guy in a pair of great underwear is hot!) Showing up at a party in see through shit is tacky. It says, “I’m screaming for attention!” There are so many other ways to dress with class that show your fashion taste, education and style. The sheer trend will hopefully be a short lived thing.
Storrie and Hudson are getting a massive amount of attention currently. They are good actors who don’t need gimmicks. If they’re not careful, they are going to flame out fast. Respected actors have a hard earned body of work behind them. Earned over years of time. Showing up at celebrity events in negligees somehow doesn’t seem like the way to attract roles in great TV or Cinema. And why give mainstream audiences a reason to say, “that’s so gay”? Leonardo Di Caprio, Matt Damon, Ryan Reynolds, and other successful young actors didn’t use or need gimmicks. Just hard work.
I think theyll be fine, they’re rumored to be “friendly” with the PayPal founder.
No thank you. I didn’t like it the first time around (1980’s), then again in the 90’s and now again as another “new” trend. Still looks stupid and douchey. IMO. If it is your thing, have at it. Just know you will be judged accordingly.
If I had the body that could pull it off and it looked good on me, I would.
