What kind of sex do you actually prefer? Do you like it simple and intimate, or do you crave something more adventurous? Are you curious about kink or BDSM, or do you prefer keeping things classic? And when it comes to sex, how far are you willing to explore?

See choices below and tell us in the comments section which ones you actually enjoy:

  • Vanilla sex – usually refers to more traditional or straightforward sexual activity. It often focuses on intimacy, connection, and familiar positions such as missionary or other basic forms of intercourse. For example, a couple might enjoy slow, affectionate lovemaking without incorporating toys, role-play, or power dynamics. While some people view vanilla sex as “basic,” others appreciate its emotional closeness and simplicity.
  • Kink– describes a sexual interest or activity that goes beyond what people might consider standard or routine sex. It usually adds fantasy, power dynamics, or novelty to the experience. Many people explore kinks occasionally as a way to make sex more exciting.
  • Fetish – involves a strong sexual focus on a specific object, body part, or material that significantly contributes to someone’s arousal. For some people, the presence of that object or element plays a central role in their sexual excitement.

Examples include:

Foot fetish – Attraction to feet, including touching, kissing, or admiring them during sexual activity.

Gear or clothing fetish – Interest in items such as leather, harnesses, latex, jockstraps, or uniforms that heighten sexual excitement.

Bondage – Being strongly aroused by restraints like ropes, cuffs, or harnesses used during intimacy. It’s also a type of kink.

  • Adventure sex (also called adventurous sex or sexual adventure) refers to people who enjoy experimenting and keeping things fresh. This might involve trying new positions, incorporating toys, exploring role-play scenarios, or simply changing the location, environment, or intensity of a sexual encounter. For example, a gay couple might use toys together or act out playful fantasies.
  • Non-conventional sex – covers sexual practices beyond traditional or vanilla sex. This could include moderate experimentation, such as toy play or anal sex, or more advanced activities like group sex practiced within clear boundaries and consent.
  • Solo play – Also known as masturbation, solo play involves exploring one’s own body for pleasure. Many gay men see it as a normal part of sexual expression, a way to understand personal preferences, relieve stress, or maintain sexual health when a partner is not present.

Having said all that, what about you, Adam4Adam blog reader?
