Our hottie of the day is 28-year-old South Korean singer, dancer, songwriter, and actor V. His stage name stands for “victory” and his name in real life is Kim Tae-hyung (his last name is Kim while Tae-hyung is his first name). V is one of the seven members of BTS (or Bangtan Boys), a South Korean boyband.
V has consistently been recognized for his striking visuals and undeniable charm. TC Candler consistently includes V among its esteemed honorees in their annual list of The 100 Most Handsome Faces. As a member of the globally renowned boy band BTS, V has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique blend of charisma, talent, and undeniable good looks.
Born on December 30, 1995, in Daegu, South Korea, V rose to fame as one of the lead vocalists of BTS, showcasing not only his exceptional singing ability but also his distinctive visual appeal. With his deep, soulful voice and magnetic stage presence, V has become a prominent figure in the world of K-pop, earning admiration and adoration from fans around the globe.
V’s inclusion in TC Candler’s list is a testament to his enduring popularity and influence in the entertainment industry. Known for his flawless visuals, V possesses a timeless appeal that transcends cultural boundaries and resonates with fans of all ages. Whether he’s captivating audiences on stage or gracing the pages of fashion magazines, V’s presence is always met with anticipation and excitement.
That being said, who is V? Take a look at some of the information we gathered below:
- V topped TC Candler’s annual list of The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2017 beating Hollywood actors Jason Momoa, Armie Hammer, and Idris Elba who came in second, third, and eighth places respectively (Jason Momoa took the first spot in 2018).
This annual list is courtesy of The Independent Critics led by TC Candler. According to their website, in order to come up with the list they sift through the hundreds of thousands of suggestions from over 40 countries. Adding, “Aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. Grace, elegance, originality, daring, passion, class, poise, joy, promise, hope… they are all embodied in a beautiful face.”
- He was part of a television series called Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth where he played the role of Suk Han-sung, the youngest hwarang. Hwarang is an elite warrior group composed of young men who were trained to defend a kingdom called Silla. The story is set around 57 BC–AD 935 so this TV series is full of long-haired South Korean hotties (now you know why I watched it, lol).
In this show, V looked…I guess the right description I’m looking for is beautiful. As Suk Han-sung, V had a sunny disposition, childlike and, looking at his photos I couldn’t help but think that his onscreen persona probably matches his personality in real life.
- According to this site, V is BTS’s King of Dubsmash.
- V is a very talented singer (as well as the rest of BTS of course, they didn’t earn their first Grammy nominations by simply looking cute or handsome or beautiful after all). Listen to his cover of Adele’s Someone Like You below.
V is not only celebrated for his musical talents and striking visuals but also for his philanthropic efforts and commitment to making a positive impact on the world. As a member of the globally renowned boy band BTS, V has been involved in various charitable causes and initiatives aimed at supporting those in need and raising awareness for important social issues.
One notable charitable cause that V has supported is the Love Myself campaign, launched by BTS in partnership with UNICEF. The campaign aims to end violence against children and young people around the world, promoting love and respect for oneself and others. As an ambassador for the campaign, V has actively participated in fundraising efforts and helped spread its message of hope and positivity to millions of fans worldwide.
In addition to his involvement with the Love Myself campaign, V has also been known to make personal donations to various charitable organizations and causes. Whether it’s contributing to disaster relief efforts, supporting underprivileged children, or advocating for environmental conservation, V has demonstrated a genuine commitment to giving back to his community and making a difference in the lives of others.
Furthermore, V’s philanthropic spirit extends beyond monetary donations, as he often uses his platform and influence to raise awareness for important social issues. Through his social media presence and public appearances, V has addressed topics such as mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ rights, and youth empowerment, encouraging fans to join him in creating positive change in the world.
Overall, Kim Tae-hyung’s dedication to charitable causes exemplifies his compassion, empathy, and desire to make the world a better place. By leveraging his fame and influence for good, V continues to inspire others to lend a helping hand and spread kindness wherever they go.

Omg!! This young, smart, ambitious guy is doing his thing. Certainly, an absolutely good choice for hottie of the day. This cat is busy!!!!! Kudos to a4a for including diversity in subject matters.
GTFOH!!!!
THERE IS NOTHING….OR WILL EVER ANYTHING “HAWT” ABUT THIS DUDE…..
WHO are you asking to get these claims of “hotness”?
*SMH*
Psychos?
“FMA”
What’s that stand for?
fingeringmyass
Yeah, one being “hot” is subjective reasoning. By no means is he attractive of any kind.
Hot . . . Not
For guys into guys who are young and pretty, he’s all that.
Not my glass of soju.
But that’s the question: is he “pretty”? Majority of the comments say “no”.
He looks like my Italian/Irish aunt. She’s always been called pretty. Similar thin body.
I love to fuck asian boys and they love me. Just this year I have fucked hot asians in Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand. Silky and rubber tight…I was also in Korea and didn’t fuck anyone. Was not really looking though, I had kimchi breath.
So you’re a purveyor of sex trafficking. Thanks for sharing. We’ll make sure the FBI gets right on that.
And society wonders why gay men are given a bad name…..
He has an attractive face but that first pic of him with the sport coat and that earring kill it for me.
A4A keeps asking my opinion about this blog but won’t post the comment. I don’t think he’s “hot” subjective reasoning doesn’t make one “hot” Please post my comment or stop asking me to reply to the blog.
People go through hundreds of thousands of pictures trying to determine the 100 best looking people in the world? I can’t imagine having a life revolving around superficial nonsense
definitely hot!
Lmao, maybe, if you’re a teen or early 20ish, otherwise, he’s a kid.
We’re not talking about his age…his looks are the focus of the article.
‘I’ am mentioning his age, ok. . . looks like I’m not alone on that too. Looks are not everything, at least for some of us.
I need, some character lines, at least a wisp of grey hair? Otherwise, I cannot be feeling like he’s “hot”
I’ld like to know if they take the responses from these articles for use in some way.
Especially when they claim that “a lot of people have voted/chosen” on the subject matter.
Way too feminine looking for my taste. It’s a no from me.
Only hot when trekking across the Gobi Desert.
Sahara?
Based on the responses, he’s generally considered a “Nottie”.
But that’s always the case. Regardless of the guy in question, some guys will find him hot. Others will find him not.
He looks like a child and acts like one in the video I watched. I’m very disappointed in you guys. I thought we were supposed to encourage psychopathic thoughts and behaviors. Isn’t that what the LGBTQXYZEIEIO is all about?
