Time and again this question is posed online. In fact, just recently one guy asked: “Is the average dick size really 5.5?” He then proceeded to say:

Not that I’m a huge floozy or anything, but I’ve been with/talked with a decent number of guys. Maybe 10 seriously. Of those 10, and if I want to include myself in the dataset, only 2 have a dick under 6 inches. Most of them are at least 6.5. I can tell just by looking and comparing with my own.

What’s the reason for this? Are gay guys more hung? Are hung guys more likely to top? Am I just randomly getting this many guys that are above average?

We did a quick googling, and found this article saying that the “average penis is between 5.1 and 5.5 inches, with one study finding that nearly everyone falls within this range.” The study made no mention of the survey respondents’ sexual orientation though they did emphasize that the “research says the average penis size is a lot smaller than what most people believe it is and usually looks nothing like what you see in porn.”

Meanwhile, a gay man shared on the thread that a few years ago, he came across a study discussing the average size of gay and bisexual men, which indicated that their penis size might be larger than those of heterosexual men. However, he said that he is “Not sure how true or accurate that is though.”

In response to his post, one gay man confirmed that indeed, there was such a study, and even shared a link to the article that you can access here. In summary, the study confirmed that gay men were found to have significantly larger penises. Specifically, the measured erect length for gay men averaged 6.46 inches, while it was 6.14 inches for straight men. In terms of measured erect circumference, gay men had an average of 4.95 inches, whereas straight men measured at 4.80 inches.

Now that we’ve established the average penis size, does it matter to you?

When it comes to the question of whether size matters or not, particularly in the context of relationships and intimacy, this is a subject of considerable debate and personal preference. Meaning that individual experiences and opinions vary in that while some people place more importance on physical attributes like penis size, others prioritize emotional connection, communication, trust, and various other aspects of a relationship.

Having said all that, what about you, guys, does penis size matter to you? Share with us your thoughts and stories in the comments section below.
