Rumor has it that the third season of Bridgerton has gay sex scenes. If you don’t know what that is, Bridgerton is Netflix’s historical fiction-romance created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes.
Bridgerton, which is based on the eight-book series by Julia Quinn, follows the life of the Bridgerton family in Regency-era London’s ton. The ton, which is reportedly derived from the French phrase ‘le bon ton,’ refers to the Regency High Society. The phrase itself means “etiquette, good manners, or good form–characteristics held as ideal by the British beau monde.”
I watched the first two seasons a few months ago, and I’ve already started watching the third season titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story; and I’m loving it. So far, I think the series is funny and interesting. And although the plot centers around the love story between the young Queen Charlotte (played by actress India Amarteifio) and the young King George III of England (played by actor Corey Mylchreest), I think that the queer story between their butlers Brimsley (played by actor Sam Clemmett) and Reynolds (played by actor Freddie Dennis) are equally intriguing.
Anyway, I’m already halfway through the series. I won’t spoil you any further, but let me share their interview with Out Magazine where the two aforementioned actors talked about how they prepared for their roles and how the intimate scenes between their characters were filmed “with the help of an on-set coordinator.”
“They created such a safe space,” Dennis said. He added, “Obviously with all intimate scenes, it requires vulnerability. The conversations we had surrounding the scenes and the fact that they were there on set talking us through and choreographing us just made it actually sort of an amazing, amazing experience.”
On the other hand, Clemmett said, “It just allowed us to be able to throw ourselves into the scene themselves and focus on what we needed to achieve. There’s no way that could have happened without feeling comfortable and safe and respected.”
You can watch select scenes from the series between Brimsley and Reynolds below:
Happy viewing!
“Incidentals”
Such Intercourse (liaisons) between two butlers or courtly attendees was already played out in
“Victoria”.
It adds a Pinch of Spice, a Tad of Tabasco or a Shot of Bourbon to the mix!
Dress them up; parade them around and give them something to do and say? It helps if they look
pretty,
too!
“Dress them up,” huh? I believe Madonna once sang, “gonna dress you up in my love .. all over all over .. from your head down to your toes ..”, honey
Give them the appropriate costumes to exemplify their individual roles and
their sexual
orientation and they are “Off-To-The -Races”!
Can I TOUCH these two hot studs, PLEASE?
“Rumor has it that…” Rumor? This has been well reported across a number of social media platforms. A great thing, too! Reviewed through a Gay filter, this series is an opportunity for us to witness yet another rapid removal of layers of clothing … all in the name of burning developing love! (of course). Here, multitudinous palatial layers from the turn of the 18th Century to the 19th. Exciting for some, potentially, ho hum to view for others. Digging deeper, It is the story of the long marriage of Charlotte and George III, the longest reigning and living male monarch.… Read more »
the line is a nod to one of the show’s characters named Lady Whistledown
It will not, be as grand or as relevant, as “Interview With The Vampire,” in 1994. I’ve watched
“Victoria” and I am watching the PBS “Marie Antionette,” and the prior two, all are formulaic. Thus, as I already
blogged, “Stir-The-Pot” and bring in the “Gay Routine” to incur the wrath of the Conservatives and
“Pat-The-Back-Of-The-Liberals!
Longest reigning and longest living ENGLISH male monarch.
The utter phoniness of the show removes all value from it.
Here’s a question to ask: I’m amazed how many guys do not have a thick pubic bush, even hairy guys sometimes seem to have the same amount as elsewhere, or less. Is it because of trimming or previous shaving, or is there a natural variation in density? Is it testosterone related? Include lots of examples.
