Jeff Molina has come out publicly as bisexual on Friday thru his social media account after an intimate video of him with another man circulated on social media. This makes him the first openly-bisexual male fighter to have competed in the UFC.
He said in his statement on Twitter:

I’ve tried to keep my dating life private from social media. I’ve dated girls my whole life and suppressed feelings I had throughout high school being on the wrestling team, throughout college pursuing MMA, and even after making part of the dream happen and getting into the UFC.
I’m a pretty masculine dude and that bro-y banter and sus sense of humor has always been how I am. The thought of my buddies, teammates, and ppl I look up to looking at me different let alone treating me different for something I can’t control was something I couldn’t fathom. In a sport like this where a majority of the fans being the homophobic c***suckers they are I didn’t see myself doing this during this part of my career. I wanted to be known for my skills and what I’ve dedicated the last 11 years of my life to not and not the “bi ufc fighter” that I’m sure would just be translated to “gay UFC fighter”.
To the awful disturbed person that decided to post this ishh I hope it was worth it.
At the end of the day I know my character, morals, and who I am as a person. As much as I’m getting hated/s***ted on I’m getting an equal amount of support & it means a f*** ton

The 25-year-old holds an 11-2 pro-MMA record and is 3-0 in the UFC. He reportedly made headlines during his fight in June 2022 because he wore “a pair of shorts with the UFC’s lettering colored with a rainbow.” The fight resulted in Molina taking home the split decision win against Kazakh flyweight Zhalgas Zhumagulov.
Molina was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) way back in January 2023 amid an ongoing investigation into a gaming scheme involving his coach, James Krause. Molina was accused of having “substantial” involvement in said betting scandal that rocked UFC. Read more here.

This is the second time I have strongly agreed with you. Unapproved release of a sex tape is never good. That guy thinking it was a publicity stunt just has no clue how some people are. You’re missing the point here. Coming out should be “his” decision and on “his” terms when “he” was ready. People out here outing folks for the fun of it is not funny and can be extremely costly to one’s career. It can also put someone in his status in danger of personal and physical attacks.

Do you have ANY idea how tiny inexpensive, off-the-shelf technology is these days? There could be a camera hiding in a pack of cigarettes on someone’s table and could film everything. And everyone’s term should include the right to “come out” or not. Everyone should have the right to make their sexuality public or reserve it for only those people who they want know.
Some members of “The Community” demand that every LGTBQ+ person comes out because it’s somehow owed by nature of their birth that they be public. Isn’t social behavioral lock-stepping what “The Community” claims it has always fought against?
The only time that I think outing someone is the proper thing to do is when the person in question has been a hypocrite and said and/or done horrible things to the LGBTQ+ community, such as lawmakers caught having gay sex in public restrooms and virulent, hateful preachers bedding rent boys in hotel rooms. How bout this: stop being a freak. I know that is more difficult for younger people in a post-Only Fans world but the newsflash actually is that nobody cares whether you are masculine, feminine, about your sexuality. For most people now, being LGTBQ+ is irrelevant. It’s highly common now for people to say “so what?” or “I really don’t care and frankly I wish no one felt I needed to know.”
The real story is not this guy’s sexuality, but how he handles it going forward. The UFC (leadership and members) is historically behind times when it comes sexuality, but it has had little opportunities to address it. We’ll wait for the overall response Hopefully, they have made some progress and he’ll some support from prominent people.
He will handle it in whatever way will be more advantageous? I wouldn’t refer to him as
“Gorgeous” or “Handsome”?

Because even with acceptance becoming widespread there remain some asses in the world. Only takes one bad apple or potato to spoil a whole bag. Unfortunately, given the media’s addiction to bad/sad/possibly-controversial news, that’s what gets published, posted and broadcast. Good for us that acceptance is now mainstream majority.

There are more athletes who are gay-bi than anyone realizes, just like the warriors/gladiators of the past, “women are for babies, men are for love” as it was said during the Roman empire.

You’re right brother, I was to a men’s basketball tournament recently and one of the coaches for one of the teams was gay and a referee calling the game was also gay. The coach wife passed away. They were married for 20 years. Now he’s sleeping with his live-in male lover.
bisexuality doesn’t exist, it’s a term men use to make themselves feel better and be more accepting to the general public.
It’s 2023. There are plenty of men, women too for that matter and of course Binaries, who have mountains of fabulous, pleasurable sex (love, too) with people of the same, opposite or other sex.
There also are, unfortunately, some members of “The Community” who believe they are entitled to try to “police” others’ sexual lives, love lives and overall behavior into their own set of narrow beliefs.
Just because a guy has sex with guys and girls doesn’t make him bi, it just means he doesn’t care how he gets off. It’s amazing the number of men who say they are bi and yet are married to a woman or have a gf. Where are all the bi men who are married to a guy or have a bf and are having sex with women on the side? From my experience many married men claim to be bi because it’s more palatable to themselves and to them it’s better than saying they are gay.

Everyone should be able to do things to their liking and when they are comfortable. It’s hard enough people. Today the way things are there is no thing as privacy. Hateful people to them it funny.
