Cinderella but… Amazon Prime Video made it more modern and made it more Glee!
Hey, guys! Amazon Prime Video recently released their very own version of Cinderella. You can watch the movie preview below:
I’ve already watched it and I loved it. Directed by Kay Cannon, Cinderella (2021) is a fresh take on a French classic fairy tale originally written by poet and storyteller Charles Perrault. Cannon, by the way, is best-known for her film series Pitch Perfect (2012–2017), which I also love (she wrote and produced all three films).
Anyway, if you love musicals, you might want to watch this film. They sang a Queensong, a Madonna song, and another from Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Lopez plus, they’ve written some original songs just for the movie, too! Listen to Cinderella soundtrack here:
My other favorite part in the film is the appearance of Billy Porter as Ella’s fantabulous fairy godmother. He was, indeed, a shining star in this film. I mean, have you heard Billy Porter sing before? If you haven’t yet, you need to watch Cinderella, it’s a revelation.
Cinderella is Camila Cabello’s acting debut. She plays the role of Ella whose dream is to travel the world and become a successful businesswoman someday. Apart from the Cuban-American singer, the film stars Idina Menzel (from Wicked and Frozen) as Cinderella’s stepmother, Nicholas Galitzine who plays the role of Prince Robert, and of course, Billy Porter who plays the role of the fabulous fairy godmother. The star-studded film included Pierce Brosnan (best-known for his James Bond films) as King Rowan, Tallulah Greive as Princess Gwen, Minnie Driver as Queen Beatrice, and James Corden as James to name a few.
You can stream Cinderella now through Amazon Prime Video.

Happy viewing!
Billy was fine in the part, dialed down in costume and actions so it was about the interaction between Cinderella and him instead of just the usual all about him. So about Bryan Ruby, the current MLB player’s unique announcement last week on major media outlets that he’s gay. His family has known for a long time. His team as well. He’s even taken some taunting from other teams’ players, but has let it slide. He said “But I don’t like the connotation to, ‘coming out.’ Because it’s more like ‘inviting in.'” He’s also a Country Music writer and has… Read more »
Another Gay man in a dress!?…been there seen that.
Horrible “actor”. It’s painful to watch him trying to “act” LOL
I’ve been feeding butterflies ever since I saw Billy in this role. Who knows. Maybe one will be my fabulous fairy godmother and arrange a dinner date for me and Jason Momoa. I can wish.
