Gimme Gimme Gimme that Pfizer, Moderna/Gimme Gimme Gimme that Johnson & Johnson.
Hey, guys! We stumbled upon this COVID-19 vaccine appointment parody song by comedy group Sour Pickles called Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Vaccine Appointment) and it’s such a mood.
The musical parody takes the tune of the famous Swedish pop group ABBA‘s song called Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight). This song, by the way, was revived by Cher way back in 2018 for the movie Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (If you haven’t watched this movie yet, you totally should, it was awesome. Cher played the role of Ruby Sheridan, Donna Sheridan’s (played by Meryl Streep) mother.
Anyway, the musical parody was on point as it was able to capture the COVID-19 vaccination appointment frenzy that the whole world is currently experiencing:
Gimme Gimme Gimme a vaccine appointment/Don’tcha know I’ve waited patiently for this day?/Gimme Gimme Gimme a vaccine appointment/I can’t wait ’till I can throw this face mask away!
We thought that this parody song—which stars Broadway performer Nick Laughlin alongside Jenny Mollet and Sam Pollino—was funny and, in a word, amazing. It was written by Leigh Silver, Brian Blum, and Nick Laughlin and it also features Connor Johnston, AJ Blankenship, Emily Dayton Evans, Blaze Ferrer, Carter Easler, Zach Eisenberg, to name a few.
