Hot or Not: Would You Get a Tongue Piercing Yourself?

Do you find gay men with tongue piercings attractive?

Tongue piercings have been around for decades, but they still spark strong opinions. Some people think tongue piercings make them look edgy, sexy, and confident, while others find them outdated or simply not their thing. But what about you guys, what do you think? Do tongue piercings make someone more attractive in your eyes? Would you ever consider getting one yourself? Why or why not?

For many people, tongue piercings are a form of self-expression. According to the American Dental Association, oral piercings are often viewed as body art and a way to express individuality. Some people choose them because they like the aesthetic, while others see them as part of a broader interest in tattoos, piercings, and body modification.

In addition, others simply think they look cool. Body modification communities often describe tongue piercings as a fashion statement and a way to personalize appearance and style. Meanwhile, some people also associate them with confidence, rebellion, or the need to stand out from the crowd.

Of course, tongue piercings have also developed a reputation for being sexual in that many people immediately associate them with oral sex. Online discussions show that this stereotype still exists, although plenty of people with tongue piercings say they got them for style rather than sexual reasons.

However, not everyone is a fan. First and foremost, some people worry about the health risks. The American Dental Association’s oral piercing guide notes that tongue piercings can lead to complications, including swelling, infections, chipped teeth, gum damage, and other oral health issues if not properly cared for.

And then there is also the question of attraction. While some gay men find tongue piercings incredibly hot because they add personality and edge, others prefer a more natural look and feel that piercings do not add anything to a guy’s appeal. Then there are those who barely notice them at all.
