The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards was held again in Staples Center in Los Angeles last Sunday night—March 14, 2021. Were you able to watch it, guys? Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande won the Grammys for the Best Pop Duo or Group Performance for the song Rain on Me. 

The socially-distanced ceremony hosted by Trevor Noah, said to be a mix of live and prerecorded segments, was aired on CBS & Paramount+. 

Grammys 2021 featured performances from the likes of BTS, Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift to name a few. Here are our favorite moments and please feel free to share yours on the comments section below:

  • A shirtless Harry Styles opened the ceremony with a sultry performance of his song Watermelon Sugar from ‘Fine Line.’ The song earned him his first Grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance.

  • Lionel Richie sang Lady during Grammys’ “In Memoriam” segment. Richie wrote and produced the 1980 number one hit song for his late friend, country music artist Kenny Rogers who passed away at the age of 81 on March 20, 2020 due to natural causes.


  • American R&B duo Silk Sonic, composed of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, paid tribute to Little Richard who passed away last March 9, 2020. They sang their debut single, Leave the Door Open with The Free Nationals plus Little Richard’s songs Tall Sally and Good Golly Miss Molly.

  • H.E.R. took home the Song of the Year award for I Can’t Breathe which she co-wrote with D’Mile and Tiara Thomas. Released on June 19, 2020, I Can’t Breathe reached #20 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs.

  • Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—collectively known as the world-famous South Korean boyband BTS or Bangtan Boys debuted on the Grammys stage with their smash hit Dynamite. They received their first Grammy nomination this year for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.


  • Sporting a sexy gladiator-like metal outfit, Cardi B took center stage and delivered an epic performance of Up and WAP alongside Megan Thee Stallion who, by the way, is first-time Grammy winner this year.

  • Beyoncé, who won Best R&B performance for Black Parade, took home her 28th Grammy award this 2021. This makes her the most awarded female artist of all time.

  • Dua Lipa was awarded the Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Future Nostalgia.’ She also delivered an electrifying performance, a medley of Levitating and Don’t Start Now and fans can’t stop raving about it! 


  • By winning the album of the year award for “Folklore,” Taylor Swift made history as the first female performer to win the aforementioned award three times. The first one was for Fearless (2010) while the second was for her album 1989 (2016).
