Grammy-nominated R&B sensation Khalid took to social media to confirm his sexuality after being publicly outed by fellow singer, Hugo Almonte. Khalid, known for chart-topping hits like Location and Young Dumb & Broke, addressed the situation with grace and humor.
Khalid tweeted an LGBTQ flag on X along with the message, “There y’all go. Next topic please lol.”
However, a fan responded, “Wait hope Mr Khalid isn’t GHEE.” To this, he responded, “I am [gay]! And that’s okay.”
He later added, “I got outted and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao) I
am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me. love yall.”
The revelation came after a string of accusations by Almonte, who shared a picture of the two of them together on X captioned, “Bitch ass [ninja emoji] lied and said that I broke into his house cause I didn’t want him.”
In another post, Almonte wrote, “One of your favorite gay rappers ate my ass one of your favorite gay R&B singers suck my d–k and it was really bad.”
Another separate post reads, “One of your favorite gay R&B singers offered me pink cocaine. I decline f–king crackhead stop letting these people in the industry.”
An additional tweet said, “I was dating this dumb ass singer he’s ugly as f–k but he tried to set me up and lie and say I broke into his house because I broke up with him like why would I go to your house and do all that if I broke up with you dumb ass!”
The last of his tweet reads, “Y’all really really want me to blow this s–t up.”
Khalid has not directly addressed these accusations but instead focused on affirming his truth and maintaining his privacy.

The story of a Gay disgruntled singer lover who outed another Gay singer. Gay drama. Not news. Fans and the public won’t care. Being Gay is not the big hairy deal it once was.

Welcumm to da clubb, budd
I don’t understand why someone would do this,, I myself is a closet bi black man, a married closet bi bottom, although I have excepted my sexuality I don’t think I will ever come out, and I pray I’m never outed, even though I know my family will still love me, I don’t want them to know about this side of me, and my sons thinks I’m the most straightest, most dominant alpha male man in the world (I’m a submissive bottom) I wouldn’t never want to embarrass or disappoint them, it doesn’t matter how mad a person gets they… Read more »
People are wicked. If they know something about you that you consider is a deep dark secret, they will use it against you for whatever reason. Leave it hanging over your head until you cave to their demands, or decide to out yourself. If you’re happy living this secret double life, more power to you.
I read Discreet sub bottu comment twice, and I didn’t see where he said he was happy living this secret double life. I think you added that to be messy. I commend him for keeping HIS private life from his family, especially his sons. I think it’s messy that he was outed.
I don’t see it as being messy. We make choices, and if we continue to do things that can possibly be detrimental to our lives and others and we continue to live our life that way, then there is some sense of satisfaction, which could appear to be happy with the way things are. He’s not being judged. We don’t say every word we mean.
I have no idea who this singer is. And I’m OK with that. I’m sorry his jilted lover outed him is such a disrespectful way.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
Who gives a shyt!…if you CHOSE to live a lie, it’s the chance you take! The irony of it is the peeps you think your hiding it from already know?!… Good Luck!!!
Well, when you out yourself, nobody has anything to say, you sleep better at night, you can hold your head up.
I’ve stopped fking with my own brothas over ten years ago because they’ve become ‘the new black, angry woman’. Fatherless men who took on ONLY the mothers ‘ghetto’ qualities. Their mothers DID not teach them that the ‘N’ word is the most heinous, disgusting word that ONLY OUR CULTURE uses as a sign of ‘brotherhood’ because we cannot come up with something more intelligent.Understandable. Khalid, why do you care what ANYONE thinks? I would’ve said nothing just to transpire one important message…’your opinion is valueless…you’re humans, and nothing else…who cares what you think?’ No, I’m not a star, nor want… Read more »
